“To whom it may concern

I would just like to express my gratitude to the team who collected our female patient from J5 Postnatal Ward St James Hospital on Tuesday evening 21/5/2019 to transfer her to the Cygnet Hospital in Harrogate.

As a maternity unit it is rare we have women on our unit who are seriously mentally ill and we had all grown very close and were deeply concerned about our lady. The crew which contained 2 male and 2 female officers were absolutely fantastic. They were extremely professional whilst being very friendly and showed genuine kindness and caring which reassured us immensely. They let us escort her to the vehicle and gave us space to care for her until she was literally in the car as we were still feeling very protective of her, however when she left we felt she was being truly cared for in very capable hands and were able to let her go knowing she was safe.

I hope you can pass this on to the crew who came and especially the lead male officer who was brilliant and clearly knew his job. I apologise that I can not remember their names.
