UK Mental Health Transport is an independent secure transport service based in Yorkshire. We use verbal de-escalation techniques and engage with the service user to manage their distress, encouraging them to feel safe and secure whilst entering the vehicle at their own pace.
We are committed to providing an outstanding level of care tailored to each service user’s individual needs. We have a rapid response time and will travel to many destinations throughout the UK.
UK Mental Health Transport provides solutions for transporting service users who have a range of mental health disorders, 24/7, 365 days a year. Our experienced and professional team prides itself on treating service users with the respect and dignity they deserve.
We work in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983 and revised Mental Health Act 2007.
Our team is made up of highly qualified and carefully selected professionals who are extremely passionate about mental health. We follow a person-centered holistic approach to provide and care for each service user as an individual. We also use an empathetic approach which results in successful transfers.
All staff are DBS checked.
All staff have physical intervention qualifications, however physical intervention is used only as a last resort.
All our staff closely follow the 7c’s – Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, Commitment and Consistency.
